We listen.
We find answers.
Many churches have asked the following general questions. If your question isnt
here, or you would like more than a general answer, please feel free to contact
us. We will find an answer for you.
What is an independent insurance agency?
An independent agent or agency is a separate entity representing more than one
insurance company. Conversely, a captive agent or agency usually only
represents one company. As a result, an independent agent or agency has the ability
to provide you with more choices and obtain various quotes. An independent agent
or agency also tends to be a stronger advocate for their clients in pressing insurance
companies for special coverages and needs, as well as a stronger advocate for
claims and billing matters.
How long does it take to get a competitive quote for our
church or school?
To provide you with an accurate quote, we need to visit your facility, completing
building surveys and reviewing current coverages. After this visit, we can have
the quote in your hands quickly. In emergencies, this process can be reduced to
a few days!
How do we value our property coverage needs (buildings and contents)?
We will complete a physical survey (measurements, pictures, building materials)
of your facilities, and after receiving building appraisals from our associates,
we will process your estimate in-house.
Contents (personal property) needs are your responsibility. A guideline is 15%
to 20% of the building values, nevertheless, we recommend you create and maintain
some type of inventory (video and/or written). Carpet, attached pews and pipe
organs are considered part of the building.
How do we report claims?
Call us as soon as possible during normal business hours. When we receive a claim, we'll forward a loss notice to the company so an adjuster can be assigned to your claim. You will be
asked to get estimates for smaller claims. For larger claims, an independent adjuster
will be assigned.
